On May 17, the 15th East ChinaRegion Undergraduate CAD Application Skills Competition, organized bythe National CAD Application Training Network - Nanjing Center andthe Jiangsu Engineering Graphics Society, and hosted by institutionsincluding Southeast University, was successfully held. Thecompetition combined offline regional venues with online cloudproctoring, attracting 1,695 contestants from 84 institutions acrossEast China.
This competition brought togetherelite students from numerous universities in East China. The teamrepresenting the School of Civil Engineering at Sanjiang University,relying on their solid professional foundation and outstandingperformance, won a total of 10 individual awards and one team award.Specifically, they earned four Third Prizes in the ArchitecturalDrawing category. In the 3D Digital Modeling category, they securedone team Second Prize, one individual Second Prize, and fiveindividual Third Prizes.
Faculty mentors from the Schoolof Civil Engineering dedicated their spare time to providingspecialized guidance for the participants. Their meticulous andpatient instruction, covering CAD software operations, engineeringdrawing standards, 3D modeling conceptualization, and detailoptimization, laid a solid foundation for the students' outstandingperformance. Through this competition, students have not only refinedtheir CAD application skills, but also strengthened their capacityfor teamwork and problem-solving.
The School has consistentlyemphasized the cultivation of students' practical abilities,encouraging active participation in various disciplinary competitionsto promote learning and teaching through competitive experience.Looking ahead, the School will continue to provide students with morehigh-quality practical opportunities and platforms, supporting theircontinuous growth and professional development while makingunremitting efforts to cultivate high-caliber civil engineeringprofessionals.
