Introduction：
Ireceived my Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from TianjinUniversity in 2003, my Master's degree in Management Science andEngineering from Tianjin University in 1999, and my Bachelor's degreein Industrial and Civil Engineering from Taiyuan University ofTechnology (formerly Taiyuan Institute of Technology) in 1983. I amcurrently a Professor, Senior Engineer, Master's Supervisor, andDirector of the Research Center for Ecological Livable Cities andSustainable Construction Management.
Formore than 43 years, I have been engaged in the practice, teaching,and research of construction engineering management. My researchinterests focus on ecological livable cities and sustainableconstruction management, particularly in the areas of governmentsupervision and management of construction project quality,ecological industrial chain management for waste electrical andelectronic equipment (WEEE) recycling and resource recovery, andmanagement of green energy-efficient retrofitting of existingbuildings.
Ihave served as the principal investigator of one post-funded projectsupported by the National Social Science Fund of China and havecompleted three General Projects funded by the National NaturalScience Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as more than tenministerial- and provincial-level research projects sponsored byorganizations including the Ministry of Education and the Ministry ofHousing and Urban-Rural Development of China. I have published 13academic monographs, authored or co-authored 7 textbooks, andpublished more than 420 academic papers.
Myresearch achievements have received numerous awards, including threeSecond Prizes and three Third Prizes for Outstanding Achievements inSocial Sciences of Tianjin Municipality, one Second Prize forScientific and Technological Progress of Shanxi Province, one SecondPrize for Scientific and Technological Progress from theArchitectural Society of China, and one First Prize for OutstandingPapers at the Engineering Management Forum of the Chinese Academy ofEngineering. In teaching, I have received two First Prizes and oneSecond Prize for Teaching Achievement Awards in Tianjin HigherEducation Institutions.
Ihave been honored with the Tianjin Distinguished Teacher Award, theLeading Scholar Award in Management Science and Engineering ofTianjin Higher Education Institutions, the Outstanding PostdoctoralResearcher Award of Tianjin Municipality, and the Tianjin May 1stLabor Medal. I currently serve as a Council Member of the ChineseSociety of Management Science and Engineering and Honorary EditorialBoard Member of ProjectManagement Technology,among other professional and academic positions.
