Tofurther broaden perspectives on program construction, accuratelygrasp the development direction of Smart Health and Elderly CareServices, optimize talent training programs, and deepeninter-collegiate exchange and cooperation, Hou Yuying, Associate Deanof the School of Civil Engineering at Sanjiang University, recentlyled a delegation to the School of Healthcare and Wellness Engineeringat Nanjing City Vocational College for a specialized researchexchange on the Elderly Care Service Management program. The researchteam included Hao Yalin, Director of the Department of ConstructionManagement; Deputy Directors Huang Wei and Sun Jing; Shen Chunmei,Deputy Director of the School Office; and faculty members Liao Jieand Pan Xinwei.
TheSchool of Healthcare and Wellness Engineering at Nanjing CityVocational College extended a warm welcome to the delegation from ourSchool. Associate Deans Zhou Kang and Lu Qin, along with programheads and faculty representatives, attended the meeting. Both partiesengaged in in-depth discussions focused on core areas, including thedevelopment of the Elderly Care Service Management program,curriculum design, faculty development, laboratory construction,practical teaching, school-enterprise cooperation models, and studentemployment trends.
Duringthe symposium, Zhou Kang provided a detailed introduction to theeducational philosophy and development history of the School ofHealthcare and Wellness Engineering, as well as the distinctiveachievements and talent cultivation experience of the Elderly CareService Management program. Faculty members from both institutionsengaged in thorough discussions regarding curriculum planning,practical training base construction, industry job requirements, andteaching innovation. They exchanged educational insights andpractical challenges while sharing high-quality teaching experiencesand program development strategies in a vibrant and productiveatmosphere.
HouYuying expressed her sincere gratitude to the School of Healthcareand Wellness Engineering at Nanjing City Vocational College for theirwarm hospitality and the sharing of their experiences. She noted thatthe research visit was highly productive, providing valuable insightsfor the planning and development of related programs in Elderly CareService Management at our School while effectively establishing abridge for communication between the two institutions. She hoped thatboth schools will continue to deepen their exchange and cooperation,fostering mutual learning and collaborative progress to collectivelyenhance the quality and efficiency of program development and supportthe cultivation of high-caliber applied professionals.
Thisinter-collegiate research exchange has not only strengthened the tiesbetween the two schools, but also clarified the development path anddirection for the Elderly Care Service Management program. Movingforward, the School of Civil Engineering at Sanjiang University willcarefully review the research findings and optimize the talentcultivation system based on its actual educational context, andenhance the quality of program application and construction,supporting the high-quality development of the School’s disciplineconstruction and teaching initiatives.
